Adult Day Services
We help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) explore their communities, build skills, and enhance their quality of life.
Goodwill Columbus is an experienced, legacy leader in the I/DD field. Our Adult Day Services foster greater independence, self-advocacy, community membership, relationship building, and self-direction for adults with disabilities across Franklin County.
Community Integration
Our Adult Day Services give people the chance to learn new things, grow, and get involved by exploring and volunteering in their local communities. We have locations in Berwick, Gahanna, Grove City, North, West Columbus, and Whitehall (Art Studio & Gallery).
Center-Based Experiences
While most people we support spend their time out in the community, we’re happy to offer center-based activities for those who need them. At the center, people can take part in things like wellness activities, cooking, or playing games with friends.
Interest-Based Activities
Both community and center-based programs offer fun and meaningful activities that help people build independence, speak up for themselves, and make their own choices. These activities might include making art, joining an improv class, going to the library, volunteering, or checking out local shops.
Daily Transportation
Goodwill Columbus is happy to offer modified, non-medical transportation that helps people get to and from their homes, our centers, and community activities. Our vehicles are wheelchair accessible.

Meet Kate
Kate Hogeveen has been part of Goodwill’s Adult Day Services (ADS) since 2013. She says that the activities, friends, and staff are what keep her interested in coming back each day.
According to Kate, Goodwill has provided her with opportunities that she might not have otherwise. A few examples of this include going to Snow Trails for tubing, kayaking at the Adaptive Sports Connection, and being part of Team Heart and Sole.
Kate is a true self-advocate and is always excited to learn more about how to help herself and others.
Artist of the Month: Christopher
Christopher Cole, a prolific artist who proudly declares himself the “King of the Arts,” has cultivated his vibrant talent for many years, significantly supported by the Goodwill Art Studio & Gallery.
His journey as an artist began in childhood, where he discovered a passion for painting and sculpting with clay, a love that continues to define his creative pursuits today. Read Christopher’s full story below.
