UPDATES FROM RYAN
Dear Goodwill Columbus Employees,
Happy October! I think the 90-degree weather is finally behind us.
Before I share some updates for the month of October, I do want to share that recently, Goodwill Columbus partnered with another nonprofit, the Harmony Project, to host a Big Table event. This occasion provided the individuals we serve in ADS and WCS, the opportunity to have a voice in our community. The Big Table event directly aligns with our vision that all individuals are embraced as valued and dignified members of our community. We look forward to hosting more Big Table events in the future.
Now onto October…
First, I am thrilled to introduce our new Goodwill Loyalty program, “Do Good.” This program allows loyalty members to access unique giveaways and one-of-a-kind member experiences once they donate goods to Goodwill. Our goal is to foster a community of supporters inspired by Goodwill’s ability to make a difference in their community. You’ll start to see more details soon.
Next, I am pleased to announce the opening of our latest Donation Center in Bexley, located at 524 North Cassady Avenue. Donated goods are critical to our ability to generate revenue, which helps us achieve our mission. I appreciate your support in spreading the word about this new location to your friends and family who live on the east side.
I am very excited about the upcoming art exhibit at the main Columbus Metropolitan Library, featuring artists from our Goodwill Art Studio and Gallery. It starts on October 4th and runs through December 9th. This exhibit is a fantastic way to highlight our amazing art program and the talented artists we have at Goodwill. I encourage everyone to visit the exhibit and support our artists.
Finally, as Halloween approaches, I want to remind everyone to take advantage of your 50% employee discount to buy your donated holiday costumes and decorations at one of our Goodwill Columbus stores (30% off new goods). This is a great opportunity to find unique items and save money while getting into the festive fall spirit.
As always, I appreciate what you do every day.
Best,
Ryan
