Goodwill Columbus Team,

October is an exciting time for Goodwill Columbus! It’s a month filled with celebration and reflection as we recognize the incredible contributions of our team members.

October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month. This is a time for us to pause and celebrate the remarkable achievements of our direct service professionals who serve individuals with developmental disabilities. Over one third of our employees have a documented disability. They are the embodiment of our mission, showcasing how the power of work can truly empower individuals to overcome challenges and become the best of who they are.

On October 2nd, we also have the opportunity to honor another group of amazing colleagues among us – our custodial services team. National Custodian Day is a moment for us to express our gratitude for their dedication to maintaining our clients’ workspaces and ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all.

Speaking of recognition, thank you all for taking the time to complete our quarterly vision survey. Your input is a vital part of our continuous improvement journey, and we eagerly anticipate discussing your comments in our upcoming “town hall style” meetings. Your insights will shape the path we take as an organization in the future.
