Oct. 2023
At Goodwill Columbus, we are committed to ensuring that everyone in our community has the opportunity to thrive in the digital world. We are thrilled to celebrate Digital Inclusion Week 2023, a nationwide initiative that promotes digital equity and inclusion. Through our partnership with the Columbus Metropolitan Library, we have been able to help bridge the digital divide through Digital Literacy courses aimed at enhancing the community member’s digital skills and opening doors to countless opportunities.
Bridging the Digital Divide
Digital Inclusion Week 2023, organized by the National Digital Inclusion Alliance, is a powerful reminder that everyone deserves the opportunity to harness the benefits of technology. It is a week-long celebration of digital inclusion, emphasizing the importance of affordable and reliable internet access, digital devices, and the knowledge and skills to navigate the digital landscape. At Goodwill Columbus, we wholeheartedly support this mission and are dedicated to empowering individuals to become digitally skilled.
Our Digital Equity Partnerships
To make digital inclusion a reality, Goodwill Columbus has partnered with The City of Columbus and the Digital Equity Coalition to offer a Digital Skills Hub program for individuals looking to advance their digital skills. These courses were designed to cater to learners of all levels, from beginners looking to understand the basics of computer use to advanced users seeking to enhance their digital knowledge. Through these courses, our community members can gain the knowledge and confidence needed to succeed in today’s technology-driven world. Together, we are breaking down barriers and fostering digital inclusion.
