- Individualized Career Plans that will identify each person’s next steps towards a career

- Continuous one-on-one coaching to help individual’s eliminate barriers for success
- Job placement with central Ohio’s best employers
Goodwill Columbus x AMP
The purpose of AMP is to help out-of-school young adults between the ages of 18-24 enter a career pathway and attain long-term self-sufficiency prior to program completion. Eligible participants will be paired with a Goodwill Columbus AMP Coach who serve as a personal advocate.
Each coach will build a personalized plan to connect the participant to support services and provide assistance in life training, learning new skills, and work experience through paid and non-paid internships, job shadowing, on-the-job training, pre-apprenticeship programs.
Qualifications:
- Young adults, ages 18-24 years old
- Reside in Franklin County
- Meet eligibility requirements
- Not currently enrolled in high school

IT Pathway
Career Pathway Industry Recognized Credentials/ First Job
- CompTIA A+ or Google IT Support Professional
- Facebook Social Media Marketing Professional Certification
Career Pathway Industry Recognized Credentials/ Next Best Job
- Network+, Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker
Class Format
- CompTIA A+ classes are in-person for 12 weeks/day class, 15 weeks/night class
- Google IT Support Professional, Network +, Security +, and Certified Ethical Hacker will be completed remotely and can be completed within 3 to 6 six months depending on the student’s skill set
- Facebook Social Media classes will be remote and can be completed in 4 to 5 months depending on the student’s skill set
Hospitality / Lodging / Retail Pathways
Career Pathway Industry Recognized Credentials/First Job
- Customer Service Gold, Rise Up Retail, Front Desk Attendant, Guest Room Attendant, Kitchen Cook, Food Server
Career Pathway Industry Recognized Credentials/Next Best Job
- Maintenance (supervisory role)
Class Format:
- Classes can be completed remotely in as little 1 week per credential
Healthcare Pathway
Career Pathway Industry Recognized Credential/First Job
- State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
Career Pathway Industry Recognized Credentials/Next Best Job
- Medical Billing and Coding (potential for remote work), Medical Front Office Administrative Assistant, Behavior Technician
Class Format
- STNA – Classes are in-person at The Reeb Avenue Center on the south side of Columbus and can be completed in 5 weeks
- Medical Billing & Coding, Medical Front Office Adm. Asst., Behavior Technician – Classes can be completed remotely in 24 weeks or less depending on the student’s skill set
Business Services Career Pathways
NEW Career Pathway Industry Recognized Credential/First Job
- Mortgage Originator License through the NMLS
Class Format
- Classes will be completed in a hybrid delivery model for 4 weeks
- Fully remote options are available for those unable to attend 2 days of in-person classes weekly
Upskilling/ Reskilling Opportunities
Industry Recognized Credentials
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Class Format
- Classes can be completed remotely at home or by utilizing the Upskilling Lab for computer and Wi-Fi access at Goodwill Columbus
- Credentials can be completed in 3 to 6 months per credential depending on the student’s skill set
Digital Literacy – Computer Basics, Internet Safety, Use of Smartphones and Tablets
