This spring, the Goodwill Columbus Art Studio was honored to welcome Twyana Davis—artist, art therapist, and radiant spirit—alongside Baylee from WAV: We Amplify Voices, for a transformative workshop series titled Mindful Masterpieces.
Each Friday, our studio artists gathered for a peaceful start to the day: coffee in hand, deep breaths, and a thoughtful question to set the tone. From there, Twyana (lovingly called “TeeTee” by our artists) guided the group through mindfulness-centered art activities that encouraged both creativity and self-reflection.
Projects ranged from playful—like making watercolor bubbles with bottle caps—to deeply personal, such as painting mindfulness stones inspired by loved ones. Throughout, Twyana and Baylee offered gentle, one-on-one support, reminding everyone that all creation is good art.
The workshops quickly became more than just art sessions—they were safe spaces for sharing stories, expressing inner voices, and building community. Artists left each week feeling inspired, often incorporating the mindfulness techniques into their daily creative practices.
The impact of Mindful Masterpieces continues to ripple through the studio, reminding us all of the power of art to heal, connect, and amplify the voices within.
