Christopher Cole: Reigning “King of the Arts” at Goodwill Art Studio

Christopher Cole, a prolific artist who proudly declares himself the “King of the Arts,” has cultivated his vibrant talent for many years, significantly supported by the Goodwill Art Studio & Gallery. Christopher’s journey as an artist began in childhood, where he discovered a passion for painting and sculpting with clay, a love that continues to define his creative pursuits today.

Christopher’s artwork is as bold and colorful as his personality, encompassing a wide range of mediums including portraits, canvases, and statues. His pieces often reflect his aspirations, as seen in his notable series featuring Governor DeWine, Lt. Governor Jon Husted, and Vice President Kamala Harris—a reflection of his own ambition to one day become mayor. His work has been exhibited at prestigious venues such as the King Arts Complex, and he even starred in an episode of the PBS show Broad and High, further solidifying his artistic presence in the community.

The Goodwill Art Studio plays a crucial role in Christopher’s artistic life. He dedicates his Tuesdays and Thursdays to painting at the studio, where he refines his skills and brings his imaginative visions to life. This consistent engagement, facilitated by Goodwill, provides him with the dedicated space and resources to produce the “many masterpieces” he speaks of.

When not immersed in his art, Christopher enjoys a variety of activities that fuel his creative spirit. He loves watching PBS shows such as Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, Barney and Friends, and Curious George, but also has an unexpected appreciation for horror movies. He finds joy in spending time with his two dogs, Sunshine and Bear, singing karaoke, and connecting with friends, both old and new.

Through his dedication and the consistent support from the Goodwill Art Studio, Christopher Cole lives out his “biggest dreams” — creating art that embodies his unique spirit and leaving a lasting impression on all who encounter his work.
