Our Programs and Pathways
Basic Work Readiness
Industry Recognized Credentials
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
Class Format
- Classes can be completed remotely at home or by utilizing the Upskilling Lab for computer and Wi-Fi access at Goodwill Columbus
- Credentials can be completed in three to six months per credential, depending on the student’s skillset
Digital Skills Workshops at Columbus Metro Libraries
Class Format
- Computer Basics, Internet Safety, Use of Smartphones and Tablets
- In person classes are available Monday through Friday at Columbus Metropolitan Library branches throughout central Ohio, as well the Ohio Means Job Center. Please click here to see class availability.
Information Technology
Learn more about earning an industry-recognized IT credential here. Certifications include CompTIA A+, Google IT Support Professional, Network+, Security+, and Certified Ethical Hacker.
Healthcare
Learn more about earning an industry-recognized Healthcare credential here. Certifications include STNA and medical coding/billing.
Infrastructure/Logistics
Learn more about earning an industry-recognized Infrastructure credential here. Certifications include Broadband and Logistics (Class A CDL).
Achieve More & Prosper (for young adults)
The AMP program at Goodwill Columbus empowers young adults, ages 18-24, to launch successful careers and achieve lasting independence.
When you join AMP, you’ll be paired with a dedicated Goodwill Columbus AMP Coach. Your coach is your personal advocate, working with you one-on-one to:
- Develop a personalized career plan tailored to your goals and interests.
- Connect you with comprehensive support services that address your unique needs.
- Provide hands-on assistance with life skills, acquiring new job-ready skills, and gaining valuable work experience through internships, job shadowing opportunities, on-the-job training, and more.
You may qualify for AMP, if you are a young adult between 18 and 24 years old, a resident of Franklin County, not currently enrolled in school or classes, and meet specific income guidelines.
