MARK KOENIG NAMED CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER FOR GOODWILL COLUMBUS

COLUMBUS, OHIO – Mark Koenig has been named Chief Financial Officer of Goodwill Columbus. Koenig most recently served as Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer for the International Division of L Brands.

The announcement was made by Goodwill Columbus President and CEO Ryan Burgess.

Koenig will begin his new role with Goodwill on May 3.

He brings a breadth of experience, having served at the highest leadership ranks of two international brands and best-in-class companies. His acumen in financial planning and analysis, strategy development and implementation, and team leadership and development will be transformative for our agency,” Burgess said.

“I am confident that Mark will help propel Goodwill Columbus’ strategic path forward to equip 100,000 people with the tools to advance economic mobility through access to employment and the power of work by 2030,” he added.

As COO/CFO of L Brands International, Koenig served as finance leader of the $1.6 billion business. L Brands, through Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret and PINK, is an international company. The company operates 2,669 company-operated specialty stores in the United States, Canada and Greater China, in more than 700 franchised locations worldwide and through its websites worldwide. During his 15-year career with L Brands, he held a number of top management positions, including CFO/Senior Vice President of Finance for Victoria’s Secret Direct; Vice President, FP&A for Limited Brands; Vice President of Finance for Victoria’s Secret Stores; and Vice President of Victoria’s Secret Megabrand.

His retail career was preceded by a 19-year career at Procter & Gamble in Sales and Finance. During his tenure in Finance, he held leadership roles in Acquisitions and Divestitures, Global Foreign Exchange, and the Juice and Commercial Products Group categories.

Koenig holds a B.A. in Economics from DePauw University and an MBA from Indiana University. He is a Management Fellow of DePauw University.

He is active in the community. He serves on the Board and Executive Committee and as Volunteer Chairperson for Junior Achievement of Central Ohio. He is treasurer at Rose Run Presbyterian Church. He has served on the Building Finance Committee of New Albany Presbyterian Church, on the New Albany Plain Local Youth Soccer Board, as a youth soccer, softball and basketball coach, and as Finance Committee Chairman of Epiphany Methodist Church.

Koenig and his wife live in New Albany and have three grown daughters.
