Goodwill to Host Marathon Bargain Sale at Columbus Convention Center

$4 high-quality jackets, shirts, shorts and athletic wear - Proceeds benefit Goodwill mission programs

COLUMBUS – Join Goodwill on Friday Oct. 19 from Noon to 7:00 p.m., and Saturday Oct. 20 from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Greater Columbus Convention Center – 400 N. High St. Columbus 43215 – for the running gear bargain sale of your dreams.

Marathon runners and members of the public are welcome to shop the sale, which will have quality running shorts, pants, headbands, shirts and jackets for $4.00 each. Gloves will be sold for just $1.00.

“The price points we have at the sale are great for runners looking to stock up,” said Goodwill Sr. Vice President for Retail & Business Services Lynne Leger. “Runners looking for apparel to discard during the race can do so guilt-free because we will be right behind them on race day picking up. Clothing won’t wind up in a landfill, and proceeds from the sale of discarded clothing will go to support Goodwill mission programs. It’s a win-win.”

With temperatures predicted to be in the mid-30s on race day Oct. 21, shoppers can stock up at the sale, keep warm and know that their purchases support people with disabilities and other barriers to employment.
