Goodwill to Host Columbus Marathon Bargain Sale at Columbus Convention Center, Post-race Cleanup

COLUMBUS – (October 12, 2016) Join Goodwill on Friday Oct. 14 from Noon to 7 p.m., and Saturday Oct. 15 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Hall E of the Greater Columbus Convention Center – 400 N. High Street Columbus 43215 – for the bargain sale of your dreams.

“Through the year, we collect high-quality running and athletic wear just for this sale,” said Goodwill Donations Operations Manager Todd Cordetti. “Runners love the sale because at these price points, they can discard the clothing guilt-free once they become warm. Runners also have peace-of-mind knowing we will be right behind them cleaning up, which keeps the clothes out of landfills.”

Everyone is welcome to shop the sale, which will feature high quality jackets, shirts, shorts and athletic wear for just $5. Last year, the sale made $16,000 in support of Goodwill employment training programs. In 2015, Goodwill Columbus also collected 10,000 lbs. of discarded clothing at the Columbus Marathon.
