Goodwill Columbus Holds Additional Job Fairs To Staff Retail Expansion

Job seekers will have the opportunity to interview for open positions at two upcoming Goodwill Columbus hiring events. The nonprofit is looking to fill a number of spots in their existing and soon-to-open retail locations.

Job fairs will be held on Thursday, February 26 and Thursday March 5 at the Goodwill store located at 358 S. Hamilton Road in Gahanna. The job fairs will take place from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on both days. Open positions include store leaders, assistant store leaders, retail supervisors and associates. “This is a rare opportunity to interview for a position the same day you apply,” said Tim Salvato, Senior Vice President of Retail Operations. “We’ve already hired around 25 individuals for leadership and associate-level jobs. We’re excited to fill more positions and get people to work.”

Goodwill Columbus recently announced that its retail presence will nearly double in the next three years. The first of five new stores, located at 5526 Renner Road, in Hilliard, will open in mid-April 2015. A second new store is scheduled to open in Gahanna in fall 2015. Each newly built store is expected to create 25 new jobs.
