Here's 5 Ways You Can Support Goodwill Mission Programs While Stores are Closed

As of 3/23/20, Goodwill Columbus stores are closed to shoppers due to COVID-19. So how can you help contribute to Goodwill’s mission?

  1. Ask your representatives to support non-profits like Goodwill in COVID-19 response legislation .  The financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on nonprofits like Goodwill has put the very survival of many providers of essential services at risk. Ask Congress to provide industry continuity and employer relief that will allow nonprofit enterprises like Goodwill to continue deliver vital mission services to our community.   2. Donate gently used goods. Goodwill stores may be closed to shopping, but nine stores in Franklin County (all except the outlet and store at 2675 Brice Road) are putting out blue bins to accept gently used goods. The same goes for three attended donation centers - 1759 West Fifth Avenue in Grandview, 3172 Kingsdale Center in Upper Arlington, and 6847 East Broad Street in Blacklick.  Find .your closest location on our donation page.

  3. Make a financial gift. Goodwill’s Donated Goods businesses account for approximately $20 million in revenue annually that helps us provides opportunities to people to learn, grow and advance via community integrated day programs, in-home care, job training, and much more.  Visit our Make a Gift page for more information.

  4. Refer a qualified candidate for our Supported Living business. Goodwill’s Supported Living team – over 200 employees – serve approximately 115 individuals with developmental disabilities in- and out-of- home. With the COVID-19 threat, these employees are in even greater need.  Apply at

  5. Thank your cleaning crew.
